PoD is a leading non-profit run organisation that provides the opportunity for you to volunteer and make a real difference overseas, while developing your skills and experiencing incredible parts of the world that are rich in culture, variety and natural beauty. You may be on your gap year, taking a career break or wanting to volunteer as part of a working holiday abroad.

Gap years

- Comprehensive 1 week-6 month programmes for challenging and fun gap years. PoD offers a wide variety of opportunities for volunteers to work in the most incredible parts of the world on their gap years. We also offer summer mini gap projects for 1-8 weeks in the summer holidays designed for people who aren't taking full gap years or University students during their summer holiday. Detailed information on both our gap years and summer mini gap voluntary programmes are available.

 



Career Breaks

- 1 week-6 month programmes providing the essentials for a fulfilling career break, which can also be incorporated into existing travel plans. Our career break volunteers programmes are designed for over 21s and those looking for a more independent volunteer placement, making a difference to people, animals and the environment. Working holidays

- not everyone can spare a month or two to join an overseas project. For a week or more people who care can take a working holiday or ethical holiday and join our ongoing voluntary work programmes of support and development in local communities. We have an exciting selection of short working holidays and ethical holiday volunteer programmes.
