The opportunity to work with local people in a variety of roles in a safe, developmental environment in Africa. PoD works with a small charity in Tanzania targeting healthcare, education and development.

When can you go?Teaching placements start in January, April and September. Building projects and other roles are flexible.
For how long?Teaching placements last for 12 weeks and can be extended. Building projects and other roles are generally 2-3 weeks, but can be extended.
How much is it?A teaching placement is £1245. Building projects and other roles start at £528.
What else is there?It is easy to arrange your own activities and if you decide to stay on afterwards, you have everything that East Africa has to offer. You could go trekking on Kilimanjaro, do an air balloon safari, dive off Zanzibar or take a classic train journey through the bush. | | |
