Phase 1 - Training and Planning
During the build up to the expedition we hold a series of training events to prepare the group for all that they will encounter. This will usually include:
- A planning seminar held at school to discuss options and ideas for the expedition
- A planning and team building weekend to plan the expedition in detail and help the group to start working together as a team
- Wild country training - a physical challenge and the opportunity to break-in and test expedition equipment. A typical location would be Snowdonia.
The students are involved with the planning of the expedition from the outset. Through the planning seminars and training days the expedition team will work with the leader, expedition manager and the teachers to develop an itinerary that will provide an amazing challenge, benefit to the local population and an unforgettable experience.
