We consider adequate travel insurance to be essential. In particular we require that you have extensive medical travel insurance cover. It is important to check that you are covered for doing the voluntary work as well as any activities you may do. Please note that many of the travel insurance policies that are available will NOT cover you while you are doing a volunteer placement.
To help you arrange travel insurance that will fully cover you, we work with a specialist travel insurance broker called Campbell Irvine. Their policy is underwritten by AXA Insurance (UK) plc, the UK’s largest travel insurance provider.
Although we do not require that you take insurance through Campbell Irvine, we highly recommend it so that you know you will be covered whilst travelling.
